Who belongs to OPTA?

OPTA is composed of box office managers, treasurers, group sales and subscription directors, system directors, front of house managers, marketing directors and general managers. They are from the performing arts, sports organization, theatres, arenas, concert halls, colleges/universities, festivals, and fairs. Profit and non-profit facilities are represented.

Why should I belong to OPTA?

OPTA provides support to its members through shared knowledge, experience, information and ideas. Members exchange ideas and concepts of effective box office management for solutions to common problems. It provides opportunities for networking with the peers and decision makers of the ticketing industry.

OPTA meets six times a year. A different venue hosts our meetings, giving members the opportunity to become familiar with the facility and its operation. There are workshops and discussions on various problems that challenge the operation of today’s ticketing industry.

How can I become an OPTA member?

The annual membership fee is $40 per person, per annum for the period of July through June. If you would like to become a member, please complete the Membership Application and mail it to the OPTA Treasurer along with your payment.
